PIER Associates are available to help you and your children navigate these uncertain academic times. The 2019-2020 school year left many parents concerned about their child's academic achievement as schools got on-line learning up and running for the latter part of the school year.

Planning for the 2020-2021 school year is now underway and many parents are uncertain about their child's safety as schools reopen. Many districts are asking for parents to participate in determining what the next school year will look like. Districts are also asking parents to notify them of where their children will be enrolled in school for the upcoming school year. As a parent you need to know, that you have options.

Parents have many alternatives available to educate their children. Some of these options include homeschooling, on-line programming offered by local school districts, charter school enrollment, and cyber charter school enrollment. All of these options are great, provided that your family has the right supports in place to make the experience successful.

This is where PIER can help. PIER Associates are all certified teachers who can support children with their academics. Whether your children need customized learning, individualized tutoring to catch up or excel, or coaching to develop behaviors that are conducive to school and life success, we can provide tailored programming to help.

PIER Associates are also able to provide advocacy services for parents whose children receive special education programming from early intervention through the collegiate level. We provide help from initial evaluations all the way through receiving accommodations in college and the workplace.

Another unique service that PIER offers is support for parents who choose to keep their children home either to homeschool or enroll in on-line programs. Many parents learned last spring that teaching is no easy task. PIER associates are able to help parents navigate curriculum, develop lesson plans, design assessments, and meet the standards.
